FAQ

Who is 'Fred'?
Frederick Hans Gutenburg is my camera. My website is not named after a brief teenage infatuation, an ex-boyfriend, my bunny rabbit or a guy I see in the third row at my MDIA1000 lecture who I think has really nice facial hair. It's my camera. My friend chose the name. No, I am not crazy.

Click on the images below to show a much larger size.

Instructions (top to bottom):

1. Open your chosen image
2. Type whatever the hell you want over it in a big ass font size, bolded, and a thick font type (otherwise it'll come out weak looking and you won't be able to see any details of the photo).
3. Right click the layer with the text and select "Rasterize Type.
4. Hold down the control key and click on the Image layer.
5. Copy and paste (ctrl + c, ctrl + p) onto a new document.

All the better to kiss you with.

Canon or Nikon?
It's personal preference. In the end, they're all the same (although I think Nikon makes better full-frame SLRs). It's just down to you and which you prefer for aesthetic and ease of use. I, personally, find Canon cameras to be more intuitive/easy to navigate around.

Follow me on Tumblr?
Sorry, I already follow way too many people and any more will take me 50 hours to go through each daily update.

Do you have a Facebook? Add me?
Yes I do. I can't, because then I would look like a pretentious asshole who has 29835723985 friends, and it's no good for my news feed, either. I only add people I know in person.

Where did you get your Tumblr theme from?
I have no idea. The link at the bottom that says Peter Vidani/Fuck Yeah Themes was the credit but for some reason the Tumblr is now defunct, so I have no idea whatsoever, sorry.

Not at the moment.

How do you make the image collages in your posts?
I use Photoshop CS3. It usually involves a lot of resizing to fit, and then collating them all on one document, positioning/copy pasting etc.
