Up close and personal (Part 1)

Some street-style deets - kicking it off with what looks like pants that a fish would wear to a disco.

An alternative studded take on the British flag and some sequin-happy bokeh.

Jysla's Miss Unkon knit and YSL clutch. I couldn't stop petting her - she was like a big, shaggy, cuddly rug.

ASOS collar tips.

Jane Barnes' crazy headgear. Pop art meets motorcycle safety.

Thanks to Fashion Gallery at eBay (who have partnered with the imitable Candice Lake), I've got five double passes to give away for Fashion Weekend (worth $40 a pop) this weekend from Friday the 11th to Sunday the 13th. There'll be a catwalk show with looks from the likes of Bec & Bridge, Maurie & Eve and Miss Unkon and it's pretty much a four day excuse to go a bit crazy on the spending. Come join me - you won't have an excuse considering I'm giving away these passes for FREE (free is a student's favourite word). You can only enter until tomorrow night at 9PM so leave a comment with your e-mail and I'll be choosing the winners randomly tomorrow night.

My daughter and I when to Doll House to buy a Sherri Lee dress that my daughter was obsessed with. I received no service from the sales staff until I asked. They gave my daughter a few styles to try on when asked what size my daughter would be, she pointed at the dress my daughter had on and said “that size”. I noticed that the dresses had no size tags on them and when I asked the sales staff about that, they got frustrated with me and gave no explanation. So I left the store with a much deflated daughter, went home and ordered the dress online and saved $200.
