Canine Chic

Probably my favourite photo, ever. He looks like he's telling me a joke!

The wonderful team at Trade Secret had me on board a few weeks back to play dress-ups with and generally run amuck in a picteresque, nearby park. Notable highlights of the day included befriending a gorgeous dog that looked a bit similar to the faux fur vest I chose. His name escapes me, but he was a bonafide model - sitting still and licking my face at all the right moments. Look out for him on the next editorial spread in Vogue - "Canine Chic". He'll be the one in the beret. You can't miss him.

I know this blog should be renamed to "99 problems and being a broke student is all of them", but it's handy in some regards. Trade Secret is good for that - all their stock is current season stock you could easily find in department stores, but you know...60% off. And that definitely doesn't hurt.

What I'm wearing (whole outfit under $100, all available from Trade Secret):
Shirred vest - $24.95
Faux Fur vest - $39.95
Felt hat - $16.95
Messenger bag - $10
Shoes and sunnies - My own

I'm not quite sure why I look like a turd in the video (seriously, agh!) but I thought I'd share it anyway cause it's super cute.

What I love most about the video is that for someone who has only seen you through photos, now I finally see how funny and charming you are. Sometimes photos makes people look so... serious. :P

My daughter and I when to Doll House to buy a Sherri Lee dress that my daughter was obsessed with. I received no service from the sales staff until I asked. They gave my daughter a few styles to try on when asked what size my daughter would be, she pointed at the dress my daughter had on and said “that size”. I noticed that the dresses had no size tags on them and when I asked the sales staff about that, they got frustrated with me and gave no explanation. So I left the store with a much deflated daughter, went home and ordered the dress online and saved $200.
