What I wore to check out university open days. Going to open days just reaffirmed the fact that I have no idea what to do next year. I'm not vaguely interested in anything at all. I wouldn't mind being a professional sea sponge, or maybe even a block of cheese, but beyond that I do not have the slightest clue on where I'm headed.

A shout out to those who approched me at USYD! It was really lovely to meet some of my lovely followers :-).
Top: Tattoo.
Shorts: Thrifted PJ pants turned into shorts.
Brogues: Thrifted, too small. I never learn my lesson.
Socks: Market, Mens.
Bag: Sportsgirl

I got some gnarly blisters from these brogues, and I look so dishevelled and tired (as always). I AM IN A RUT. Sorry about my inactivty/unresponsiveness - Twitter, Formspring, emails, Tumblr. I just feel really out of it lately. I'm in a rut. Which, for some reason, reminds me of rafts, which reminds me of the ocean which gets me really excited for summer/the beach. Which makes me want to walk around my house in a bikini. Which makes me remember it's about -89376 degrees celcius right now.

Did you go to UTS at all? I have no idea what I'll do next year, my courses are impossibly hard to get into :(
contemplating moving to Canberra and befriending the politicians. cos you know, why not. :|

Sea sponge? Sounds like you should do an arts degree haha. /uni joke
I wouldn't worry about it too much, just think about what you like, and remember that you don't have to do the same job for the rest of your life. And if you really aren't sure, don't go to uni. All you'll get is a debt by doing something you don't want to do. Also, more time to figure it out.
I didn't know what I was going to do until high school finished. I chose x-rays (radiography) because I like a little bit of computers, and a little bit of health.
If you want to be a block of cheese you could do a cheese making apprenticeship and become an affineur (seriously, it's a job! haha).
I think you would suit a communications degree.
Good luck :)
Is it incredibly lame that I just got super excited when you said "degrees Celsius"? I feel like we're speaking code language with each other...
Okay, yes. That's incredibly lame. BUT IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT AMERICA AND THEIR FAHRENHEIT DOMINATE THE WORLD.
Take a year off and travel. Traveling is the best.

Few lucky people know what they want to do with themselves. Don't sweat it, start small :)
Love your shorts, and your craftiness. :D
Ehehe Cadavatar. Clever.

I'm a first year, doing a BA in eng lit and languages, and it is AWESOME. Seriously, uni just like expands your mind. I love it. And hall life is the best thing ever (there are halls in oz, yes?) but I would also recommend travelling. If you take a year off, do something. Like volunteering in Nepal.
Well, that's my two cents worth.
I love love loveeeee the shorts Jess!!! They remind me of Wang.
<3333
cute look<3..and i lreally like the way you turned those pj pants..into shorts...which looks...great..!!!
if you don't know what you want to do then make sure you ace your hsc. when you do figure out what you want to do, you won't have to worry about alternate entry schemes and can just go for it =)
love your look! come to usyd.. it is a GREAT uni!
wow, the weather in sydney must be great! i can't wait until i can wear t-shirts and dresses for summer. right now in melbourne, i am still stuck with 4 long-sleeve layers every, single, day.
sif not study fashion design! or something else arty.
go to cofa, i start there next year, we could be uni blog buddies ;)
snazzy shorts.
-m xx
p.s. lol at the person above me who made the sea sponge/arts degree joke. bachelor of arts is really like a bachelor of attendance, its so broad.
I was in the same boat when I finished my HSC.. I wanted to a do a bit of everything. I'm not sure about UTS and UNSW but USYD is pretty flexible. I do a psych major but also english, which is as far from each other as possible. If you do an arts or arts and sciences degree your first year is pretty much about choosing every subject that sounds good and continuing with what you like onto your 2nd and 3rd years. Good luck, looking great by the way.. maybe central station that much more fashionable!
nice seeing you!
don't worrry about not knowing what to study - you're still young & uni's about FINDING out :)
see you next summer xoxo
You look very lovely. I wore some shorts really similar to those yesterday! I wish you luck in finding out what you want to do.
Sincerely, Sarah Margeurite
Don't worry on what you'll be doing too much.
Once you're in Uni you will figure it out eventually.
Lovely look btw.
This is cute! Love the shorts. And the bag.
I'm sorry you're in a rut. They suck, I know.
While you're looking forward to bathing suits and heat, I'm looking forward to the cold weather here! It's been in the upper 90's/100's for too long.
As usual you look incredible!
Can not agree more about not knowing what to do - I have decided I shall become a professional student - and choose stupid majors in uni :)
