A pussy-bow blouse never changes its spots.

Friday, June 25, 2010 // Labels:

Enormouse maroon blouse: Thrifted.
Unhemmed navy spotted skirt that I cut too short: Thirfted, DIY'ed.
Black knee high boots that smell a bit (LOL how gross): Thrifted.
Black belt: Thrifted.
Beret: Myer, bought for a History assignment last year.
Box bag: Thrifted.
Minolta: Inherited.
Watch: Thrifted.

And yes, I do realise that one of my buttons is undone. It seems like I cannot make a single outfit post that does not involve at least one piece of my appearance being dishevelled or out of place. It adds to my charm, right? Right? Doesn't it? *sits in the corner*.

This skirt is evidence of my inability to do anything remotely easy. It was originally at a really awkward length, so I decided, being the smart cookie I am, to cut it and then ask my friend to hem it. Seeing how I'm a smart cookie, I forgot you need to leave a little bit of length so you can actually hem it. So now I'm left with an unhemmed, way-too-short skirt. And the sad things is, I DID IT AGAIN THIS MORNING. To the most beautiful black pleated dress. Woe is me.

And finally, time for an overly fake laughing shot:

Have a beau-tea-ful day, everyone. (image credit)

Definitely part of your charm! Don't worry, I often have trouble looking 'polished' too. I've put it down to my inability to have neat hair though. Anyway, I think these are all gorgeous pieces, that make for a quite lovely outfit :)

I have definitely done that before... but i saved the skirt by sewing the part I cut off onto the inside. It made kind of an inside out hem, if that makes any sense at all.

i know it's a bit cliche, but that would be a perfect 4th of july outfit. and i also have a few pairs of shoes that are less than lovely smelling. leather + water sometimes don't mix.
