The temperature is dropping, year 12 students are getting drawn deeper and deeper into the vortex that is the HSC, nothing good on TV is on. Sometimes the accumulation of all these things makes you want to have a mental breakdown in the middle of Maths class, collapsing into a million little pieces and banging your fists on the floor proclaiming that life isn't fair. But don't collapse, just yet.
Things on the internet that cheer me up:
1. You Make Me Touch Your Hands For Stupid Reasons - A dramatic reading of a break up letter with copious spelling and grammar mistakes. What's not to love? I've actually consistently laughed at this for over 3 years since I first found it. Most of my friends think it's the stupidest thing they've ever heard, but I cannot get over it.
2. Tumblr memes - Fuck yeah socially awkward penguin, High Expectations Asian Father.
3. Hyperbole and a Half. Because of this girl, I now have a speech impediment that comes and goes, I can handle grammar errors on the internet with much more grace, my writing has drastically improved with the help of accurate and helpful emoticons, I can play games with bricks, and showering is never a chore anymore.
4. These Vimeo vids -
Sign Language - a short film from Oscar Sharp on Vimeo.
Hitler not happy about the 550d... from oliver walker on Vimeo.
Once upon a time... from Capucha on Vimeo.
Twitter: The Criterion Collection from sween on Vimeo.
Things not on the internet that cheer me up: (part 1) Junk food, thrifting, frankie magazine, cameras, babies, The Beatles.
Ice cream, Thrifting, Camera.

I just listened to that 'break up letter'. It's hilarious!! I had it playing in my room through large speakers, my housemates will probably think i'm whack.
